2026 August Coaching Corner Newsletter

It is official! We have officially relocated to our new location at 405 N. Tioga St. Ithaca NY 14850 2nd Floor above Narrative Space Barbershop 💈.

Over the next two weeks I’ll be working my magic 🪄 to create a unique and comfortable space for my coaching and healthcare advocacy clients to meet with and hold space for rooting, wholeness and of course their becoming.

I’ll be accepting in person appointments in this new space starting 8/15/2026. To schedule an appointment please visit the LeadWhole Coaching & Healthcare Advocacy website as par usual.

Additionally and while our moving dust settles, I’ll be available for virtual appointments and will conduct our group coaching sessions and our Empowerment Academy classes via zoom until further notice.

Healthcare Advocacy at LeadWhole

Dis you know? As part of my service offering that LeadWhole offers patients health advocacy services! So, what is healthcare advocacy?

According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Healthcare Advocacy involves the following: ensuring access to care, navigating the system, mobilizing resources , addressing health inequalities, and influencing healthcare change and initiatives (NIH Website, 2026). In laymen terms , it means that as your healthcare advocate I will act as a supportive voice and body of knowledge to ensure individuals that access my services are supported, that they have their rights protected, and that their healthcare related needs are met while they navigate the complexities of our national Healthcare System.

Some of the services I offer as an independent nurse advocate and consultant are the following:

• Check & verify medications for clarity of use and dosage.
• Assist with discharge planning from a hospital or long-term care facility.
• Verify procedures that require informed consent and help educate clients for understanding and clarity of the procedure.
• Assist with organizing & understanding healthcare provider instructions & care plans.
• Provide health and wellness education and coaching.
• By special request, accompany my clients to various medical appointments to help capture key parts of their care planning to help them make educated and informed decisions regarding their care.
• Utilize traditional nursing diagnosis and care planning to guide your care need.
• Provide private post hospital Aftercare services ( as outlined in our service agreement, our services DO NOT as as a home health care agency).
• Provide professional, private and confidential services virtually or in person in my Ithaca, NY office.

What I Cannot Do:

• Give legal advice
• Provide financial guidance or assistance
• Make health decisions on your behalf without your written permissions.
• Give or provide medical advice or care outside my scope of practice as a registered nurse.

Note: our healthcare advocacy services are private paid services. We unfortunately do not accept or submit to insurance providers and do not participate in Medicaid or Medicare. I do, however, offer sliding scale fee services with income verification and some charity services on a cause by case basis, again , with income verification. AfterCare Services do not qualify for sliding fee or charity discounting.
